Life is a Highway

For the past few weeks, Caleb and I have been singing "Jesus Loves Me" together before I put him to bed.  He loves for me to rock him for a few minutes in his rocking chair, and my heart melts as we sing together.  If I ever tried to sing a different song, he would say "No Mommy- Jesus Loves Me."  He loved it when I would sing "Jesus Loves Caleb" and poke him in his side.  At the retreat I went to a couple of weeks ago, we sang this familiar song on the first night and I got so teary thinking of my precious little boy who loves to sing this song with me.  I have a recording of us singing together, but I can't figure out how to post it on here.

Well....a couple days ago, Caleb saw something red in his room that reminded him of Lightning McQueen.  I was about to rock him and sing, and when he said "Coqueen!" I started singing "Life is a Highway" since it is a song in that movie.  Guess what he wanted me to sing the next night?  And tonight?  Looks like "Life is a Highway" is the new bedtime song!  I'll take it. :)
